KEF’s Music Integrity Engine® (MIE), a proprietary suite of in-house coded DSP (Digital Signal Processing) algorithms, is the mastermind behind our wireless HiFi speakers and subwoofers. Each unique MIE is precisely tuned to allow all components within the individual wireless HiFi speaker or subwoofer to work in perfect harmony, elevating the overall performance for remarkable integrity, detail, and accuracy of sound.

MIE executes incredibly fast calculations to analyse input signals, unlocking each product's full potential to deliver unparalleled precision. Whether it is the phase correction feature that fixes inherent timing issues of the wireless HiFi speakers, or the iBX Intelligent Bass Extension feature that enables our subwoofers to deliver deeper bass and greater dynamics, the result is an immersive experience that surpasses expectations.

At KEF, we always push the technological boundaries in our mission to create the best possible sound. While typical DSP solutions entail a generic application, MIE algorithms are specifically tailored for each product by our Research & Development team at Maidstone, UK. Building upon an already excellent acoustic foundation, these bespoke MIE algorithms bring each product to the very pinnacle of its capabilities.
Blade
Originally designed as a concept speaker, Blade is the world’s first single apparent source loudspeaker that extended the boundaries of what high end audio can achieve. It is what makes the Blade incredibly coherent across the frequency range, with noticeably more precise imaging than is possible from any conventional speaker.

Single Apparent Source
Technology
Single Apparent Source technology aims to achieve the acoustic ideal of a point source, where low, mid and high frequencies radiate from one point. Perfectly calibrated drivers that cover the entire bandwidth of the loudspeaker are configured so that all frequencies appear to radiate from one single point. The result is noticeably more precise imaging and highly accurate sound across a wider area.
